I Love Suffolk Goes to the Top!

Today I went for a 4 hour walk around the city, to the top of a hill/mountain to look at the incredible views from the Castle...  It was a tough climb, but worth it for the views...

Notice, the pictures from yesterdays blog, show the boats with Castle, today I am at the top of this Castle looking back down!

Again, this bag is still standing strong and makes the perfect gift, or perfect to wrap up small and use on holiday... as seen here!

Whilst walking around, enjoying the sights and being snap happy with my new camera, I finally managed to stop and create a very quick drawing... this is nothing amazing, as I mentioned in my previous blogs, I had taken a step out of creating art for over half a year and its taking me a little while to get back into it... But I'm slowly getting there.

Thanks for reading the blog.  Don't forget to check out the website http://www.ilovesuffolk.co.uk
But please note I am still building the site, it will fully launch and be ready as an online store beginning of May 2012.

I Love Suffolk Goes on Holiday!

As mentioned on twitter... I have gone away for a while, a little break from home and to travel through Spain.

Yes I took this picture.

But nevertheless, 'I Love Suffolk' goes on and I have been working on new ideas, plans and projects... (even on the plane I was working on stuff!).

Yesterday I arrived in Spain, sun is blazing, head full of ideas, new camera, art equipment and ready to roll.  Today I sat on the beach and gathered my thoughts, but before hand I went for a walk...

Just to add, everything I sell at 'I Love Suffolk' I use, I wouldn't dream of ever selling something I didn't believe in or think wasn't a quality product.  I have used an 'I Love Suffolk' cotton bag for just about everything... I use one for the gym, one for work and another, I always keep stored in my hand bag in case of emergencies.  These bags are quality and very very strong!!  Trialed and tested by yours truly.

at £6 each, including free delivery, whats not to love?  Doesn't it make just the perfect beach bag?  I had all of the following stored in there comfortably;

Sun lotion
Make-up
Purse
Camera
Phone
Water 1 litre
Jacket
Pencil Case
1 Sketch Book
x2 Notebooks
Breakfast Bar
(almost everything except the kitchen sink)

I've actually had a lot of people buys these as gifts for friends abroad, as they wrap up super small and fit well in the suitcase when returning home.  Something else that I can personally claim to be true!

If you are interested in getting one, or two for £10 please feel free to contact me :)

Welcome 2012!

It has been over seven months since I last posted a blog, A lot has happened within that time and I needed the break away from 'I Love Suffolk' to sort my personal life and focus on what really mattered in life... With that said and done, I now welcome 2012 and 'I Love Suffolk' back into my life...

The last couple of weeks I have been prepping and organising my work, to exhibit at art shows, craft fairs and other bits and pieces.  I am thoroughly excited and keen to get on with these new ventures.

About a month ago I started to get back into illustrating, as it has been so long.  I started by creating a simple paper-cut/illustration of the sign 'Welcome to Ipswich'.  Image below.

It was fun to do and I think it came out rather well.  It was a good start back into creating art again.

I then continued by creating a paper-cut/illustration of the Orwell Bridge...

This I also really enjoyed making, as it helped ease myself back into the creative mind.

When I was sorting out my portfolio, I came across a little illustration I done a few years back, I had forgotten this day, the fresh air, what this Church meant to me and the funny memories...  It also made me smile, as it seemed to have been a sign of who was about to walk back into my life.  That's also another reason for my ability to get on with 'I Love Suffolk' again.  I have the support from a group of many amazing people in my life, for whom I am very grateful of knowing.  I said before that I feel blessed to have met some wonderful people and again, I can never say it enough,

'I Love Suffolk' is back for business.
